How do you pronounce the French name AIM脡E?
In English it's pronounced by some people exactly like Amy.


In French, it's pronounced em茅.

Reply:I've been living in Paris for 17 years, and can say that, phonetically, it would be pronounced "emAY" (which, in additon to being a woman's name is the feminine version of 'loved' or 'beloved'--for a guy it'd be the same pronounciation but you drop the second 'e'). Hope this helps!
