How is the french name Mathilde pronounced?

Matilda is a good start, but the French pronounce that version of "t" with more tongue - almost halfway between a "T" and a "D". Instead of putting your tongue where it normally is when you enunciate a "t" sound, put the tip of your tongue further forward and make contact with your upper palette about a half-inch (1cm) behind the tip of your tongue. It makes the sound a bit 'fatter."

And the final syllable would be more of a "deh" rather than "duh."

I think it's the way we pronounce Matilda (mah - TILL - duh)
