How do you pronounce the French City name 'Grenoble'?
Grun-o- bleu. stress on the 'o'. The 'r' is the slightly throaty French 'r'.

(Gruh as in grunt).
Stress on the "nob-l", which is pronounced almost like "nobble", only as one syllable.
Reply:It's pronounced.........Gre-knob (as in doorknob)
Reply:You have to pronounce in that way:
"Gre- = the 'e' like in 'shirt'
-n貌 = (marqued) the 'o' like in 'short'
-ble = don't pronounce the 'e' and instead 'bl' like in bl(ue).
